This is a frequency converter for a microwave transmission outdoor unit—one of those big antennas on vantage points. The converter receives a nearby indoor signal through a physical cable and turns it into radio frequencies which can further transmit from one microwave dish to another. SurfaceID designed a sturdy, weather-resistant, sand cast aluminium shell that could be carried conveniently. The top part can also be removed from its base by unclipping it, allowing easier maintenance.
