SurfaceID had the privilege to participate in the preliminary design of this advanced biometric identity authentication system. Because the iris remains a proven biological constant, well beyond that of fingerprints and facial recognition, it provides the utmost in certainty and security. Cost-effective, this iris scanner also captures users at a distance and in motion while the individual is approaching, making it an extremely efficient security device.
Iris recognition identifies a person from the patterns of the iris. The system SurfaceID worked on was built to capture users at a distance and in motion, as they walk toward the device, making access control fast as well as secure.
SurfaceID took part in the preliminary design, developing a compact wall-mounted housing and several front-panel variations, shown in the renderings on this page.
